Specialized Board Certification and Training
Doctor Jay Granzow is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery and also in Otolaryngology – Head and neck surgery, and is one of the few physicians to hold such a dual certification. He also completed additional specialized training in both aesthetic and microvascular surgery.
Aesthetic procedures include Rhinoplasty, or nose surgery, Breast Augmentation, Mastopexy or Breast Lift, Abdominoplasty or Tummy Tuck, Liposuction, Facelift and Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery. Dr. Granzow’s reconstructive procedures include the most advanced methods of breast reconstruction such as the DIEP, SIEA and GAP flaps, Lymphedema Surgery and treatment of Facial Fractures and trauma.
Dr. Jay Granzow’s training includes extensive international experience with aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He performs the Tummy Tuck Breast Reconstruction (SM) and the Buttock LIft Breast Reconstruction (SM) to shape both the breast and abdomen or buttock. Currently is one of a select number of surgeons in the United States who routinely performs the advanced DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction technique.
In addition, Dr. Granzow is a pioneer in the field of lymphedema surgery. He is the first surgeon anywhere to routinely perform the three modern types of surgery to treat lymphedema which include lymphaticovenous anastomosis surgery, vascularized lymph node transplants, and specialized lymphatic liposuction. He was the first to effectively combine these different lymphedema operations and has created the FLO System (SM) of Functional Lymphedema Operations to integrate the different surgical methods.
Dr. Jay Granzow currently maintains the roles of Associate Professor of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and Assistant Chief of Plastic Surgery at Harbor UCLA Medical Center.
